Honoring the Monuments Women: A Tribute on International Women’s Day

In honor of International Women’s Day we want to remember the 27 Monuments Women from four different countries that were part of the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives (MFAA) section of the Allied Army during World War II and in the postwar years.

The Monuments Women used their determination, perseverance, endurance, and grit to empower themselves long before the passage of laws aimed at creating equality with men. Their bravery encompassed a different but no less noble dimension than that of the combat soldier.

We invite you to explore their individual stories below!

The Monuments Women don't wait for the law—they create their own power through willpower, persistence, and determination. Just like in Drift Boss, only those who dare to break out will reach glory!

The Monuments Women played a vital role in preserving cultural heritage during and after World War II. These 27 women from four countries worked within the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives (MFAA) section of the Allied Army, rescuing and protecting priceless artworks from destruction and theft. Their perseverance and dedication ensured that future generations could appreciate history’s treasures.
