Barbara Stroell (Civilian)

(?–?)

Barbara Stroell was born in Weißensulz (Bělá nad Radbuzou), Czechoslovakia on October 25, 1909. She immigrated to the United States when she was twenty-seven years old, working as a department store dressmaker in New York City before becoming a naturalized American citizen in January 1943.
Just two months later, Stroell enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps. Although we know little about her activities with the MFAA, she mostly likely worked as a civilian clerk typist in Germany or Austria.
