Currently, the Foundation believes this individual to be Samuel L. Goldberg, a records clerk with the MFAA Branch of Headquarters of the U.S. Forces, European Theater (USFET) in Frankfurt-Hoechst, Germany. Goldberg assisted the office’s chief clerk, Monuments Man Sgt. James A. Reeds, with the management of field reports, and did other paperwork for Monuments Officers Lt. Cdr. George L. Stout, Maj. Bancel La Farge, and Capt. Edith A. Standen.
