Technician Fourth Grade Charles J. DiRaimondo (US Army)

(1922–2013)

Charles Joseph DiRaimondo was born on March 26, 1922. A lifelong New Jersey resident, he grew up in Trenton, where he attended Trenton Central High School. DiRaimondo then worked as a clerk before being inducted into the US Army in October 1942.

Technician Fourth Grade DiRaimondo joined the MFAA Branch of the US Group Control Council (USGCC) in early June 1945, serving as a stenographer. He transferred to the Property Control Branch the following month. DiRaimondo remained in the theater until at least October 1945.

Following his return to New Jersey, DiRaimondo worked in the Ordinance Department at Fort Dix in his hometown of Trenton. In 1955, he began a nearly thirty-year career with the New Jersey State Police, which included a promotion to supervisor of the fingerprinting bureau at its headquarters in West Trenton. An avid gardener and fisherman, he retired in September 1982 to spend more time with family and friends.

Charles DiRaimondo died in Trenton, New Jersey, on February 8, 2013.
