 Reward Terms and Conditions

Subject to the terms and conditions contained herein, the Monuments Men and Women Foundation is offering a cash reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the recovery of each cultural object included in the WWII Most Wanted Art™ deck of playing cards (the “Program”).

Terms and Conditions:

  • The published reward (the “Reward”) for each WWII Most Wanted Art™ cultural object on the Monuments Men and Women Foundation website is the maximum cumulative amount that will be paid to the Reporting Individual(s) promptly after the time of Legal Recovery of that cultural object.  A “Reporting Individual” is defined as any individual who provides information directly to the Monuments Men and Women Foundation via its website, monumentsmenfoundation.org, or its toll-free tip line, 1-866-994-4278 which (a) is not already known by the Monuments Men and Women Foundation, (b) is not publicly available information, and (c) which leads directly to the recovery of the cultural object identified by such information (the “Procuring Information”) . “Legal Recovery” is defined as the physical and legal transfer of the cultural object to the Owner identified on its respective WWII Most Wanted Art™ playing card. Rewards under this program are only earned upon Legal Recovery of the applicable cultural object.  Any Reward hereunder is payable under strict conditions as allowable by law in the particular jurisdiction where the information is provided. Rewards will not be available where prohibited by federal, state or local law or regulations, or by applicable canons of professional responsibility or similar guidelines.

  • The information must lead directly to the Legal Recovery of the cultural object. The Reporting Individual must submit information that is reliable and accurate to the best of his/her personal knowledge, and s/he must be willing to respond promptly to follow up questions to obtain necessary details concerning the information submitted. Information provided that is already known to the Monuments Men and Women Foundation or public knowledge readily discoverable shall not be considered for a possible Reward payment. If the information does not lead to Legal Recovery, no Reward  will be earned.

  • If multiple Reporting Individuals provide information on the same cultural object, the Monuments Men and Women Foundation, in its sole discretion, may divide the Reward for such cultural object amongst the Reporting Individuals in any manner determined by the Monuments Men and Women Foundation in its sole discretion based on balancing factors including the order in which information was received and which information contained the critical details leading to Legal Recovery. Notwithstanding the foregoing or anything to the contrary contained herein, the Monuments Men and Women Foundation shall only pay one Reward per cultural object.

  • No Reporting Individual is eligible to receive a Reward if s/he is acting in an official capacity of his/her employment or has affiliation with the Monuments Men and Women Foundation.

  • The Monuments Men and Women Foundation will not publicly disclose the identity of any Reporting Individual without such Reporting Individual’s prior written consent, except where lawfully required by a government agency, law enforcement agency, or where the identity is subject to a court subpoena or valid discovery request.

  • Reporting Individuals shall not be considered for a possible Reward payment unless the information is provided to the Monuments Men and Women Foundation through its website, monumentsmenfoundation.org, or its toll-free tip line, 1-866-994-4278.

  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Monuments Men and Women Foundation has no obligation to pursue any cultural objects, whether a part of this Program or not.  Further, the Monuments Men and Women Foundation has no obligation to investigate any information or lead provided by a Reporting Individual or pursue the recovery of any cultural object related to any such information or lead.  All decisions as to whether and how to follow up on information received as a part of this Program and the pursuit, efforts, outcome, or resolution of any cultural object’s case shall be made by the Monuments Men and Women Foundation in its sole discretion.  The Monuments Men and Women Foundation may revise these Terms & Conditions and/or discontinue this Program at any time by announcing such change on its website, monumentsmenfoundation.org.  The Monuments Men and Women Foundation, in its sole discretion, shall determine if any particular Reporting Individual qualifies for and should receive a Reward payment (or partial payment).

  • All investigations conducted by the Monuments Men and Women Foundation are confidential. The Reporting Individual is not entitled to know the status and/or details of any investigation, enforcement proceeding, or dispute resolution.

  • All Reward recipients will be required to provide the Monuments Men and Women Foundation with his/her social security number for tax reporting purposes only. The Monuments Men Foundation will only request this number after the Monuments Men and Women Foundation has determined that the Reporting Individual has earned a Reward.    Failure of a Reward recipient to promptly respond to the Monuments Men Foundation’s request for addition information or tax reporting information may result in forfeiture of a Reward.  Rewards under this Program are not transferrable.

  • The Monuments Men and Women Foundation may terminate the reward program at any time for any reason. In any event, the reward program will terminate on December 31, 2024. At the time that this Program is discontinued or terminated as set forth above, any Reward not yet earned shall be automatically forfeited.
